Dear students and parents, We are so excited to announce that Clackamas County has been approved to move into phase 1 and that means we can reopen our studio! We have missed teaching lessons in person! We will be reopening on June 1.
In Compliance with Governor Brown’s recommendations for reopening, the following safety measures will be in place:
- We will be wearing face coverings. 2. We will be using hand sanitizer between each lesson. 3. We will provide hand sanitizer for student use. All students will be required to wash their hands for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer before their lesson can begin. 4. We will be using negative air flow to reduce transmission of viruses in the studio. 5. We will not be using the waiting room at this time. As a result we recommend that families wait in the car during lessons. 6. We will be sanitizing all high touch surfaces daily, as well as cleaning the piano keys and bench between each lesson.
Additionally, Zoom or WhatsApp lessons will be available for any student who has exhibited symptoms of COVID-19 including cough, fever, or shortness of breath in the last 72 hours; OR may have been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 2 weeks. If this applies to you, for the safety of everyone please Do Not Show Up In Person for a lesson. Legally we cannot let you in the building and remain open for business.
We will keep these policies in place until the Governor says it’s safe to lift them.
Every piano student will have until June 1st to reclaim your spot from before the shutdown. There will be some slight adjustments to the schedule to allow for more cleaning time and if that affects you, you will be notified. After June 1st, if there are open spots in the schedule, students will be allowed to move to new time slots and we will begin accepting new students. Guitar students will be rescheduled as Bill’s schedule has changed. Please text Bill for available times.
We look forward to seeing you all again! Bill and Denise Schmidt
